Admission Requirements

Care Training Center, LLC’s programs are open to all students that have an interest in the medical field.  For any individual interested in attending our programs, we ask that they be willing to and prepared to dedicate the time, energy, and effort to the courses offered. We encourage students to apply and we will assist them academically, when necessary. Our mission at Care Training Center, LLC is to provide excellent training to students in preparation of obtaining goals in the healthcare field.

Because Care Training Center, LLC understands that people come from various “walks of life,” some persons interested in attending our programs may not submit applications for admission due to incomplete high school educations or feelings of inadequacy due to age, socioeconomic status, or lack of prior knowledge.  For this reason, our facility has set the following non-stringent prerequisites for admissions:

1.         Certain programs have different age requirements, as a condition of admission to Care Training Center, LLC.  They are as follows:

(a)  The Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) program may be attended by persons as young as 16 years of age, with parental consent;

(b)  The Patient Care Technician (PCT) program requires that participants be at least 17 years of age; and,

(c)  The Medical Assistant applicants must be 18 years and have a high school diploma or equivalent.

(d)  For all other programs (except CPR/BLS for the General Public) offered at Care Training Center, LLC, we ask that the individual be at least 18 years of age, prior to enrollment.

(e)  Persons attending the CPR for the General Public course must be a minimum of eight (8) years of age.  Please, see the Campus Director regarding policies on “Parental Accompaniment of Minors Attending CPR/BLS Courses.”

2.         There is no “prior knowledge” requirement, as it is the responsibility and purpose of our facility to educate individuals in their field of interest.

3.         Students need to have an interest in working with people, patience, and a pleasant personality.

4.         Care Training Center, LLC requires that students maintain flexibility with their schedules, as each module may be taken concurrently or scheduled in succession.

5.         The English language must be spoken, understood, and written well.   However, please, note that we do offer the Certified Nurse’s Assistant course in Spanish.

6.         A personal interview, a completed application and enrollment agreement, as well as all other registration forms must be completed prior to admission to any program.

7.         Some of our programs, such as the Medical Assistant programs,  require completion of high school education requirements, as evidenced by a diploma or GED.
